I am delighted to be the Conservative Candidate for Park Farm North Ward at the local elections for Ashford Borough Council on May 2nd 2019.  I am also thrilled to be working with a wide range of new candidates at this election and, as a founder member in 2005 of Women2Win (a Conservative initiative set up by Theresa May and Baroness Jenkin to encourage more women to volunteer for public office) I am really happy that almost 50% of our new candidates are women. We also have a really good mix of ages, backgrounds and ethnicities as well as our disability champion, Amanda, who you will see with her guide dog Dilly, working hard in Beaver Ward.

Grassroots Conservative

I served as a district councillor for 12 years in Thanet before moving to Ashford, so I understand the political landscape from grassroots level. I support the devolution of funding and decision making to local communities.

Championing change

Whether it’s better value in public services or making them fit for purpose in the 21st century, I have always championed change and innovation, both professionally and politically.
